Elementary Education - Alternative Licensure Pathway

The Alternative Licensure Program is a 12 credit program with a supervised field experience component for participants who have completed a bachelor’s degree (or higher level degree) and who want to become a teacher at the Elementary level (K-8th grade). Application Process

Step 1 Apply for admission to NMJC – Apply Online
Step 2 Have all colleges or universities you have previously attended send your official transcripts to the NMJC Registrar’s Office via e-scripts to transcripts@nmjc.edu.  
Step 3 Complete Alternative Licensure Program Application and Candidate Agreement (contact Dean of Arts & Sciences)

 

Although college officials will provide assistance when possible, it is the final responsibility of the student to check all phases of his or her program of study.
