Nor-Lea Hospital District and New Mexico Junior College have partnered to provide a more health-driven environment for students and faculty of New Mexico Junior College. We are pleased to announce the upcoming opening of Thunderbird Health Center on your NMJC campus.

Thunderbird Health Center will be operated by Nor-Lea and will serve patients suffering from minor illnesses, minor wounds and minor injuries. Nor-Lea Hospital District is on a mission to provide reliable, accessible and exceptional healthcare to our communities. Let our professionals take care of you.

Services We Provide

  • Initial Broken Bone Assessments (Not including face, skull & pelvis)
  •  Foreign Body Assessments (i.e. eye, ear, skin)
  •  Abscess Incisions & Drainage

 

Please be aware that while appointments are free of charge, any additional services (Including imaging and lab testing) are not free of charge and will be billed to the patient. If you need assistance with additional costs, please ask any of our team members about our financial counseling services

 

Thunderbird Health Center is now open! ONLY servicing: NMJC students, NMJC Employees and dependents on the NMJC insurance. The clinic provides limited acute care services.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

 

Jessica Barrera, CNP is the provider on-site; she began seeing patients on February 20, 2024. Currently the clinic is on the NMJC phone system. Appointments are preferred, walk-ins welcomed.
