New Mexico Junior College hosts its first-ever Thunderbird Welcome Weekend!

This event was created with NMJC Alumni, family,  friends, all of Lea County and surrounding communities in mind.

With a weekend full of fun activities, including a golf tournament,  an NMJC volleyball conference match, rodeo reunion, a fun run/walk for all ages, youth camps and a concert on the itinerary, this event is going to be one for the books!

All participants will receive a free shirt!

Out-of-town attendees will be afforded an opportunity to reserve hotel rooms at a discounted rate.

Platinum $2,000 – One Team Entry into the tournament; Sponsorship recognition on four campus video boards; company name on tournament banner and NMJC Booster Club roll call window.

Gold $1,000 – Sponsor recognition on four video boards; company name on tournament banner and NMJC Booster Club roll call window.

Silver $500 – Sponsorship recognition on two campus video boards; company name on tournament banner and NMJC Booster Club roll call window.

Bronze $300 – Company name on the tournament banner.

SkillsUSA has been a part of our New Mexico Junior College campus for over 30 years and is active at the local, state and national levels, proudly representing NMJC!
Members of SkillsUSA NMJC Chapter participate in Community Service each semester and are responsible for raising funds to travel to leadership and skills events, such as the Fall Leadership
Conference, Local Leadership Trainings, State Leadership, Skills Championships, and visit the Roundhouse in Santa Fe.

Over the years, proceeds from this 
annual event, together with other 
donations, have funded over $3.3 million 
in scholarships and more than $1.2 million in program assistance!

Due to the generosity of individuals, trusts, companies, NMJC faculty and staff, NMJC Foundation is afforded the opportunity to award from over 80 Scholarships annually to our Students.

NMJC has a variety of students from all different parts of the world that attend here. Your donations will help fund toiletries/ life essentials in our pantry that students may 
need but are unable to access due to financial issues

The annual fee for this plate is $37. $25 of the fee will go to the NMJC Foundation to support student scholarships.

Pump It Forward

PUMP IT FORWARD is a scholarship
program that provides a $300 partial
scholarship to each approved Lease
Pumper student that applies. 
This reduces the student's registration
cost for the two-week Lease Pumper Training
by $300. With the scholarship and early registration, a student can complete this
training for $900.00.
