Inventor's Workshop Presenters

These are the presenters for the 2021 Inventor's Workshop.  

Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong is an attorney in Austin, Texas, who specializes in patent law and protecting innovations. He has worked with the Texas Tech University Health Science Center (Office of Technology Tansfer and Intellectual Property), and Emergent Technologies, Inc. in Austin. Anderson received a BS in Entomology from Texas Tech University in 1997, MS in Crop Science from Texas Tech in 2000, and his JD in 2000 from Tech. He is currently  an attorney with Dickenson Wright, PLLC.

 

Jennifer Grassham

Jennifer Grassham is the interim President & CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County (EDCLC). She previously served as the vice president of grants for the JF Maddox Foundation. She is a Hobbs native and recognizes the potential of continued economic development and diversification throughout Lea County.
Brandon Hunt

Brandon Hunt is the Director of the Small Business Administration Center for Lea County. He has been in the position for several years, providing assistance in developing business plans for new businesses.
Dr. Myrriah Tomar

Dr. Myrriah Tomar is the Director of the Office of Science & Technology for the New Mexico Economic Development Department.  She connects Science & Technology companies throughout the state of New Mexico with resources to succeed and commercialize their technologies. Dr. Tomar serves on many boards including Board Chair, Technology Research Collaborative; Board Member, New Mexico Bioscience Authority;  Board Member, NMBio; Board Member, New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Advisory Council;  State Government Representative, EPSCoR State Committee;  and the Catalyst Fund Limited Partner Advisory Committee.
Tim Wittig

Tim Wittig spent a decade on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC in a legal practice. His next career was 20 years leading a team of scientists, attorneys, and marketing specialists to assist government and university laboratories and businesses in the transfer and commercialization of technology. Mr. Wittig then founded a small technology management firm (Technology Commercialization Advisors, LLC), where he works with businesses, Federal agencies, economic development groups, cities, states, and nations with an emphasis on intellectual property and technology commercialization.  See the full bio here.
Dennis Holmberg Dennis Holmberg has been the Interim Executive Director of the New Horizons Foundation (NHF) since June 2019. In this position, he coordinates all activities of the Foundation with regard to meeting the goals of NHF, which are to create new opportunities for education, science, conservation, health care, and economic development. Prior to coming to NHF, Dennis was the Vice President of Special Projects for the J F Maddox Foundation for 14 years. Prior to that, Dennis was the owner of Mitoska Services, LLC, doing consulting in the areas of economic development and property development. Dennis served as County Manager in Lea County New Mexico for 10 years.
