DOT COMPLIANCE MANAGER TRAINING (3-DAY COURSE)

Presented by Safety Compliance & Training, LLC, and offered in partnership with New Mexico Junior College; this three-day DOT Compliance Manager Course rovides in-depth training for personnel responsible for managing Department of Transportation (DOT) safety programs. This course is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and practical application for managing compliance within motor carrier operations. Instruction is delivered from a real-world enforcement perspective, focusing on how to properly build, implement, and maintain a compliant safety program.

  • DOT applicability and regulatory framework
  • Driver qualification and compliance requirements
  • Drug and alcohol testing programs (CDL-specific)
  • Hours of service and ELD requirements

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE & BRAKE INSPECTOR QUALIFICATION TRAINING (2-DAY COURSE)

Presented by Safety Compliance & Training, LLC, and offered in partnership with New Mexico Junior College; this course provides students with the equipment training requirements to perform federal commercial annual inspections, brake inspections, and brake readjustment services for motor carriers. This course consists of classroom training and hands-on inspection training with a truck and trailer. The course covers the commercial motor vehicle equipment standards of Part 393 and maintenance standards of Part 396 along with Appendix A (Annual Inspection Criteria). *Disclaimer: Not all states allow or accept self-inspection.*

Students completing this course will be qualified to conduct the following tasks: 

  • Federal Annual Commercial Vehicle Inspection
  • Brake Inspection
  • Brake readjustment

Students will be provided with the following:

  • Brake Inspection Diagram

 DOT ROADSIDE INSPECTION (2-DAY COURSE)

Presented by Safety Compliance & Training, LLC, and offered in partnership with New Mexico Junior College; this two-day training provides a practical breakdown of roadside inspections from an enforcement perspective, focusing on the vehicle equipment standards that are most commonly violated and how out-of-service (OOS) conditions are determined. This course highlights the key equipment areas inspectors pay attention to, including brakes, tires, lighting, coupling devices, and other critical components. This course is designed to help drivers, safety managers, and fleet personnel better understand what to look for before hitting the road - and how to avoid the types of issues that lead to citations, downtime, and increased liability.

DOT AUDIT & RECORDKEEPING SEMINAR (4-HOUR COURSE)

Presented by Safety Compliance & Training, LLC, amd offered in partnership with New Mexico Junior College; this four hour seminar is designed to break down exactly what DOT auditors look for - and where most companies fail. You will learn how to properly manage your driver qualification files, hours of service records, and maintenance documentation, along with the most common mistakes that lead to violations. This training also includes a real-world walk-through of how an audit works, based on actual enforcement experience. Whether you are a safety manager, owner-operator, or responsible for compliance, this session will help you understand what needs to be in place - and what could put you at risk if it is not.
