The DOT Compliance Manager Training Course is designed for personnel responsible for
managing a motor carrier safety program. The course covers detailed requirements for
managers and their associated duties and responsibilities, as well as the liabilities
associated with motor carriers in transportation operations.

This three-day certification course is designed for safety professionals and compliance managers responsible for motor carrier safety program management. The course covers detailed requirements for managers and their associated duties and responsibilities, as well as the liabilities associated with motor carriers in transportation operations.
Day 1 (Motor Carrier Operation) - Students will learn about safety audits and when the DOT regulations apply to their company's operation. Students will learn when a driver is required to have a CDL and the specific class. Students will learn which additional permits and licenses are required by motor carriers when engaged in interstate or intrastate commerce.
Day 2 (Driver Compliance) - Students will learn the process for hiring qualified drivers and creating complete driver qualification files along with the required contents. Students will learn the various exceptions and exemptions in the Hours of Service regulations, along with requirements for electronic logging devices. Students will learn about managing Drug and Alcohol testing programs and using the Clearinghouse Database.
Day 3 (Vehicle Compliance) - Students will learn about vehicle maintenance programs and the required documentation for files. Students will learn about the size and weight regulations in Texas. Students will learn about the vehicle equipment standards and how to navigate the out of service criteria.

Commercial Vehicle and Brake Inspection Certification Course
This two-day certification training course is for personnel who will conduct in-house federal annual commercial motor vehicle inspections, brake inspection, and brake readjustment services fot their fleet as outlined in parts 396.19 and 396.25 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Day one will consist of classroom training covering the legal and logistical procedures for inspedtors. Day two will consist of practical inspection training with a truck and trailer.
Student's completing the course will be certified to conduct the following tasks:
- Annual federal commercial vehicle inspection ( as permitted by state law )
- Brake inspection
- Brake readjustment
Students will receive the following:

Level 1 DOT Roadside Inspection
This two-day course provides a detailed explanation of a level 1 North American Standard Inspection performed by DOT inspectors. The course covers the commercial motor vehicle equipment standards of Part 393 and the North American Standard Out of Service Criteria. Discussions includes the additional publications motor carriers and compliance professionals may use to submit DataQ challenges to roadside violations issued in error. This is covered using the OOSC, Inspection Bulletins, and Operational Policies.

DOT Audit & Recordkeeping Seminar
(1) DOT Audits and SMS Profile- The Participants will learn about safety audits (new
entrant), compliance reviews, safety measurement scores, company safety ratings, and
the enforcement process.
(2) Driver Qualification Process & Files- The Participants will learn about basic the
requirements and processes for hiring qualified drivers and how to correctly build
driver qualification files.
(3) Vehicle Maintenance Program & Files-The participants will learn the criteria required
for a company's vehicle maintenance program and the required documentation for vehicle
maintenance files.
(4) DOT Recordkeeping Requirements- The participants will learn about other required
recordkeeping sections for audits and compliance reviews (Logs, Clearinghouse, Accident
Register).
