The John Shepherd Administration Building has been a cornerstone of the NMJC campus since it was constructed in the mid-1960s. As the first building on campus, it has served many vital roles over the past 61 years, including housing the College’s first cafeteria, Registrar’s Office and Financial Aid, and today serving as the primary hub for NMJC Administration. It is also home to the NMJC Foundation, whose mission is to build community partnerships and strategic collaborations that expand scholarships and program support for NMJC students.

After decades of continuous service, the building’s age is now clearly showing. A comprehensive renovation is critical to ensure it remains safe, functional, and capable of supporting students, faculty, staff, and the broader community for years to come.
