Hobbs, NM — New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) announces, with great pride, that William Brown, Vice President for Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness, has been recognized in the American Statistical Association’s AMSTAT News as a newly spotlighted member of the ASA. 

In the January 1, 2026 AMSTAT News feature “Meet New ASA Members: Spotlight on William Brown,” Brown shares insights about his professional journey and his engagement with statistics and data science — fields central to his work driving institutional effectiveness and informed decision-making at NMJC. 

The American Statistical Association (ASA) — the nation’s preeminent professional organization for statisticians and quantitative scientists — regularly highlights members who contribute to the advancement of statistical practice, education, and community engagement. Brown’s inclusion in this member spotlight underscores his commitment to leveraging data and evidence to support student success and institutional performance.
