New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) has received a generous grant of $10,500.00 from the Permian Pipeliners Education Foundation (PPEF) for the 2025–2026 school year. This funding will go toward supporting students pursuing careers in oil and gas, and other related industries.
The PPEF is a charitable organization that brings together professionals in the energy sector through “peer-to-peer” networking. Their mission is to advance the field of pipeline engineering, and one way they’re doing that is by investing in the education of future workforce professionals through grants like this one.
“The NMJC Foundation is extremely grateful to the Permian Pipeliner’s Education Foundation (PPEF) for helping to support scholarships and activities that support students seeking energy-related workforce and career training pathways,” NMJC Vice President for Advancement Rachel Gallagher said. “Funds from PPEF will allow the NMJC Foundation to fund more students in need, and those who may not have other financial aid.”
The grant will help make it easier for students to earn industry-recognized certifications. It may also help provide scholarships for students enrolled in key programs connected to the energy industry. NMJC is proud to work alongside industry partners like PPEF to create real opportunities for students and to help meet the growing demand for skilled professionals across the industry.
