Scholarships Available for Spring 2020 Semester

Hobbs Women’s Civic Club Scholarship
- Scholarships - this award will be given to aid a local woman in attending NMJC so that she may better equip herself for the maintenance and support of herself and her family
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be pursuing vocational, technical, and / or academic training
- Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must have been out of high school a minimum of two (2) years
- Must be a resident of Lea County, NM - preference will be given to residents of Hobbs, NM
- Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Must be a full-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours) - this requirement may be waived for special circumstances
Robert H. Huston Jr. Memorial Endowment
Scholarships for students who are enrolled in preparatory courses pertaining to the fields of engineering or agriculture
McGary Regan Foundation Scholarship
- Students must be a U.S. Citizen
- Students must demonstrate a financial need
- Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Student must be a graduate from a high school in any of the following counties:
- Lea County, NM. The following TX Counties: Andrews, Borden, Coke, Culberson, Dawson, Gaines, Howard, Loving, Martin, Pecos, Reeves, Scurry, Terry, Ward, Winkler, and Yoakum.
Frank M. Standhardt Memorial Scholarship
- Scholarships
- Must be a Hobbs High School graduate
- Must be a full time student studying architecture or a related field
- Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
Zia Natural Gas Claud Long Memorial Scholarship
- Scholarships for students studying Engineering, Business, or Science
- Awarded to students that don’t or can’t qualify for NM Lottery Scholarship
- Based on demonstrated need
- Must maintain 3.0 GPA
- Must be a full time student
- Must be a non-traditional student (Scholarship may follow student as long as student continues to meet the scholarship criteria
