July 28 – Hobbs, NM. Ever heard of “Fun on a Fill-up?” You soon will if you watch Fox
34 KJTV News out of Lubbock, Texas. The station recently sent a news reporter
and cameraman to find out what fun was available locally on just one tank of
gas.
In the endeavor, they found several destinations in Lea County. The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame (located on the New Mexico Junior College campus) happened to be one of those destinations.
The news team was fascinated with the museum, especially the mechanical cowboy, affectionately known by museum staff as “Gus,” who enriched their tour with a few stories of his own.
To view the news coverage of the Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame along with other Lea County stops, tune in to Fox 34 News (local cable channel 12) Wednesday, August 2nd at 9:00 pm; Thursday, August 3rd at 4:00 pm; or Saturday, August 5th at 9:00 pm.
Quite frankly, with current gas prices, everyone could use this fun information.
