Winners of NMJC Gift Bags Announced

8/12/2010 12:21:21 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. Although thousands of people visited the New Mexico Junior College booth at the Lea County Fair & Rodeo last week, only two walked away with the goods.

Lovington resident Janice “Joann” Taylor and Hobbs resident Bill Stone both received calls that their names had been drawn as winners of gift bags donated by the NMJC Foundation.

According to Kim Latimer, Administrative Secretary, the gift bags, which were actually environmentally friendly grocery totes, were filled with both practical and fun items.  Gifts included a sweatshirt blanket, car kit, zip tote, pen, water bottle, workout towel, pedometer, portfolio, tape measure, clip, notepad & pen, flash drive, manicure kit, and sewing kit.  Estimated value of the gift bags was $150 each.
