Western Heritage Museum to Reopen March 1
1/30/2007 9:40:16 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. To ensure completion of a number of construction updates, the Western Heritage Museum & Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame, located north of the New Mexico Junior College campus circle, will be closed through February 28.
According to Karen Wiley, Executive Director of the Museum, the facility was originally scheduled to reopen February 1 after implementation of several major projects, including outfitting the 140-person theatre with state-of-the-art audio-visual electronics, addressing flooring issues, and installing additional lighting in the main gallery. Numerous smaller projects were to be addressed as well. Due to unforeseen complications, however, the deadline has been extended to the end of February to ensure completion of all projects.
