NMJC Cosmetology Show Winners Announced

NMJC Cosmetology Show Winners Announced photo 3/14/2008 9:32:40 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. The Spring 2008 Cosmetology Hair and Nail Show, held Friday, March 14, in Watson Hall, featured Fantasy as its theme. And judging from the wildly colorful and diverse creations, the assignment was fully met.

First place winner was "The Peacock," created by the team of Britney Ramirez, manager; Maria Gomez, hair; Marcela Mendoza, make-up; and Andrea Chance, nails.

Second place went to "Mardi Gras," which was created by Stephanie Arcidez, manager; Elizabeth Martinez, hair; ClaudiaPueblo, make-up; and Sabra Mapp, nails.

Third place was awarded to "Butterfly Garden," created by Ashley Hastings, manager, nails; Brittainy Davis Wilson, hair; and Abbie Potts, make-up.

The People's Choice Award went to "Cruel Entity," designed by the team of Mindy Capps, manager; Jessica Johnson, hair; Brittany Sharp, make-up; and Monica Rico, nails.

NMJC judges were Vicky Gann, Willy Miller, John Rice, and Cynthia Zambrelli.
