NMJC Survey Offers Chance to Win iPod
1/25/2008 1:11:11 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. For the few minutes of time it takes to fill out a 12-question survey on the New Mexico Junior College website, some lucky student will win a sleek, new iPod Nano.
The survey, which will continue through February 13, was designed as a tool to provide critical information for a website redesign that is being undertaken by the college and allows participants the choice of submitting their opinions anonymously or registering to win the iPod.
One NMJC student who took the survey, Tiffany Michelle Lopez, said she completed it in less than five minutes, but admits it could take longer if someone wanted to be even more detailed in expressing opinions about the site. "I like the fact that students are being asked what we want on the site. This is my preferred way of communicating and finding out about things, whether it's at NMJC or anywhere else. This is where my friends and I like to go to see what's being offered and what's going on around campus and such, so it's nice that we're being asked what all we want on there. I made a few suggestions, and my friends did, too."
To win the iPod, all entries must be submitted by Wednesday, February 13, at 5:00 pm (MST). The winner will be selected in a random drawing in NMJC's Office of Institutional Effectiveness on Thursday, February 14, at 12:00 pm (MST) and will be notified via the contact information given on his or her entry. Part-time and full-time employees of NMJC, as well as immediate family members and household members of employees, are not eligible to enter to win, although they are encouraged to fill out the survey.
