NMJC to Hold CDL Town Hall Meeting
8/21/2007 5:09:45 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. New Mexico Junior College will hold a Commercial Driver's License Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, 7 pm, in Moran Building Room 169. The purpose of the meeting is to supply vital information about New Mexico's CDL program.
The meeting, which is free of charge and open to both businesses and individuals, will provide clarification on testing, as well as rules and regulations, and general information about New Mexico's Commercial Driver's License.
Information will be presented in part by NMJC, NM CDL Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, NM Motor Carriers Association, and the NM Department of Transportation.
NMJC began offering a CDL Truck Driving Academy, along with a test preparation course for obtaining a CDL learner's permit, in the fall of 2006. NMJC's CDL Academy is a 120-hour, three-week program, which prepares students to take the NM CDL State Skills Test. Students also receive college credit for the academy.
