Family Fun Day Celebrates with Christmas Crafts
12/5/2016 5:52:04 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame will host its final 2016 FREE Family Fun Day on Saturday, December 10 from 10 am until 3 pm. Visitors can enjoy children's craft activities, a Christmas Tree scavenger hunt, more than 45 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, Bonnie Moran's North Pole Village and the movie "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."
"We've added some new, fun activities this year to our Christmas Family Fun Day," says Mary Lyle, education director for the museum. "The Christmas Tree Scavenger Hunt will help families discover the 40 plus trees we have, all decorated very differently. Accidental Harmony, an a cappella singing group, will perform Christmas Carols at noon, and we'll have several crafts stations for children throughout the area."
"This is the last Family Fun Day for the year, and it's a great time for children and adults to spend time together learning and sharing their creativity," Lyle added.
Visitors can also roam through the Museum Store which has many unique items for gift giving. Members of the museum will receive an additional 10% discount, for a total of 20% off the merchandise.
There is no registration required, but an adult must accompany all children. For more information call
