8/9/2016 11:54:35 a.m. - Hobbs, NM.
Local businesses are invited to an information session to learn about the unique partnerships available to them with New Mexico Small Business Association (NMSBA), Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories. The session is Wednesday, August 24th at 4:00pm at New Mexico Junior College in the Ben Alexander Student Center.
The meeting will explain how local businesses can have access to the Labs' technology departments for projects that require testing. The Labs' scientists and engineers are available to work with small businesses to consult with designs, or to give access to special equipment.
Garry Buie, owner of PEMCO in Hobbs, states: "The New Mexico Small Business Program is a great way to access the vast resources of Sandia Laboratories. Pemco of New Mexico has benefited from our efforts to diversify and grow our business with a new, exciting technology!"
Sandia has offered their technology to external partners through NMSBA for more than three decades, allowing small businesses to have access to the Labs' science, people and infrastructure. These partnerships are at no cost to the business.
The information session August 24th will also discuss how local companies can do business with Sandia National Laboratories. The event is complimentary and hosted by New Horizons Foundation, Economic Development Corporation of Lea County, NMSBA, New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and New Mexico Small Business Development Center
