The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame will host its final 2015 FREE Family Fun Day on Saturday, December 5 from 10 am until 3 pm. Visitors can enjoy more than 45 beautifully decorated Christmas trees, Bonnie Moran’s North Pole Village and free children’s craft activities.
“This is the second year we have offered this program at the Western Heritage Museum,” noted Executive Director Dr. Darrell Beauchamp. “Last year’s program was very popular, and we expect this year to be even more spectacular.” Several different activities are planned including a cookie decorating station, a “Sock Santa” station, hand-made greeting cards and ornaments, and rag dolls, just to name a few. Beauchamp noted that the day will be an opportunity for families to come out to the Museum and enjoy creating some of the crafts of the season.
“We have had a lot of fun with our Family Fun Days this year,” said Director of Education, Mary Lyle. “This will be the final opportunity this year for children and adults to spend time together learning and sharing their creativity,” Lyle added.
