Bugs Outside the Box Extended until May 31
5/13/2015 12:27:30 p.m. - Hobbs, NM. The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame has extended their spring exhibition, “Bugs: Outside the Box”. The popular display will continue through May 31.
“We are thrilled that we’ve been able to secure the rights to extend this wonderful exhibition” noted Darrell Beauchamp, Executive Director of the Museum. Originally slated to close on May 10, Beauchamp explained that the Museum has been able to extend the run of the show until the end of the month, mostly at the request of area school teachers who are wanting to book tours for their classes. “We have had wonderful success with this exhibition” Beauchamp added. “People have really enjoyed this unique presentation.”
The exhibition features oversized replicas of insects from around the world, giving the viewer a chance to see what bugs look like up close. The Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., and Sundays 1:00 p.m. through 5:00 p.m. The museum is located on the campus of New Mexico Junior College.
