Free Workshop To Start or Expand Your Business

8/22/2014 9:35:07 a.m. - Hobbs, NM. The Small Business Development Center at New Mexico Junior College will present a workshop Wednesday, August 27 to teach people how to start or expand their small business. This free workshop will take place on the NMJC campus in the Training & Outreach Facility from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Small business owners and potential owners will learn about creating a business plan for their enterprise, an important step for success.

“A business plan allows people to evaluate their ideas, assess potential markets, plan for the future and clarify how their business will operate,” said Brandon Hunt, director of the Small Business Development Center at NMJC.  “It is a tool that they can follow, like a roadmap, to constantly assess their success.”

This popular training seminar will provide small business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs with the process and information required for preparing a successful business plan. Business registration, licensing, loans and the components of the plan including market analysis, marketing, sales, and financials will be addressed.

Registration for this free event is available online at or by calling (575) 492-4700.
