Educational Talent Search is a Federally Funded outreach program that provides information and services for 6th through 12th grade students in schools throughout Lea County. Every state and U.S. territory has an Educational Talent Search program, and New Mexico Junior College has been host to ETS since 1998. The office is located on the second floor of the Ben Alexander Student Center Trio Programs. ETS provides information about careers, study skills, colleges, universities, and provides assistance applying for college financial aid and scholarships, college entrance exams, and admissions and cultural trips to plays, shows, museums, and historical locations. The 9th through 12th grade participants go on campus tours and visit colleges and universities such as NMSU, UNM, ENMU, UTEP, and Texas Tech. Educational Talent Search es un programa de gran alcance fundado por el Federal que facilita informacion y servicios por todo Lea Co. Cada Estado y Territorio de Estados Unidos tiene el programa de Educational Talent Search, y El NMJC ha sido sede de ETS desde 1998. Nuestra oficina esta situada en el Segundo piso del Ben Alexander Student Center Trio Programs. ETS proporciona informacion sobre carreras, tecnicas de studio, colegios, universidades, y suministra para aplicar para asistencia financial del colegio y becas. Tambien asiste con los examines que cada estudiante esta’ obligado a tomar para ser admitido a la Universidad y viajes culturales para los museos y lugares historicos. Los estudiantes del grado nueve al doce son eligibles para participar en visitas de colegios e universidades tal como NMSU, UNM, ENMU, UTEP, y Texas Tech.
