Advanced Placement (AP)

A student who is enrolled in an AP class(es) at the high school level can take the AP examination(s) at the end of the year. If he/she scores a composite score of 3, 4 or 5, he/she can request that his/her score(s) be sent to NMJC for college credit. The transcript entry will show "Credit by Examination" with a grade of "CR" entered by the name of the course. There is no grade to be computed into the grade point average. No transcript entry is made if the examination score is not high enough for credit. The college will charge the student a $5.00 fee per course when he/she request the credits be put on his/her NMJC transcript.
