Sites allowing a user to search through a vast amount of topics for a specific site or menu, which will link to a specific site. An appearance on this list does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the search tool described.

GOOGLE – A comprehensive search engine that seems to have the edge over its competition.

ALTA VISTA – Web and Usenet News searcher has indexed millions of sites. Alta Vista users can perform complex searches or get personalized news and stocks.

BIGFOOT – Links to international Bigfoot sites for services to non-English speakers.

DEBREIFING META SEARCH ENGINE – "Java-based search crawls AltaVista, Yahoo!, Infoseek, Excite, Webcrawler, Lycos, and Hotbot to return collated results."

DOGPILE – "Meta-search engine returns query results from other Web search engines, Usenet, FTP sites, stock quotes and news from wire services."
