In the past, SNMLEA has been fortunate to be granted a legislative appropriation to help subsidize
housing and meals for out-of-district and out-of-state cadets who need to live on campus
while attending the academy. This amount changes from year to year according to the funds
received for the academy.
NOTE: This program is currently approved for the Federal financial aid including Veterans benefits, For
further information please contact the NMJC Financial Aid Office at 575-492-2564
Cadets will be individually responsible for payment of their medical and psychological examination unless
they are sponsored by a law enforcement agency.
Cadets will also be responsible for uniforms, gym gear, footwear, pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. Each
cadet will be provided with a comprehensive list of required equipment upon final acceptance into the
academy.
