Blackboard Instructions

Login has changed: Use your Banner ID and PIN to login to the Blackboard Vista 8 system. When you want to quit Blackboard, be sure to logout first and then close your browser. If you are unsure of your Banner ID (it is not your SS#), login to Self-Service Banner and your ID will be displayed in parentheses after “Welcome,” at the top of the Main Menu.

Your online course(s) will be available on the first day of class and not before. Setup your computer browser as shown below and then go to the Live Course Schedule, find your course(s), note the Term dates, and click on the course name to view the course syllabus. The dates that show on your Bb Course List page show how long you will have access to your Bb course(s).

If you make the Bb login page a Favorite/Bookmark, edit its URL properties link to show http://nmjc.blackboard.com.

Before logging in and accessing your courses, make sure your computer matches the browser settings shown in the links below.
