Running a Fantastic Season

“This is the best team I’ve had since I have been coaching,” touts Bob Jackson, Women’s Cross Country/Track Coach. He says that he came away from this season being extremely pleased with the women. For example, they competed well against a lot of NCAA Division II schools, as well as the local Division I schools.
Jackson says that probably the team’s best meet of the year, was when they ran in the “Cowboy Jamboree” at Oklahoma State University. “There were over 300 runners from 23 teams, and almost all of our runners ran their personal best times,” said Jackson. NMJC finished in the middle of the runners, but that is quite an extraordinary feat seeing that they were competing against NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics – 4 year schools) teams.
“From the first meet of the year to the last, we constantly improved. As a coach, you can’t ask for more than that,” says Jackson.
