MEET: ASU David Noble Relays

COACH'S SUMMARY
It was a cold and blustery day in San Angelo, and the competition was intense. Going into the meet I knew from last year that we would get to run in the prelims and then sit and wait and watch the finals. I knew this would be the case because of the number of very good four-year institutions at the meet. I felt like we competed well within our heats of the prelims and the NMJC lady T-Birds gave an effort of 100%.

It's a great experience for these young ladies to see and be a part of such a large meet with quality performers. It should make them realize that with hard work and quality preparation they too can become better performers and more competitive. I realize it is tough mentally to compete against these types of athletes week-in and week-out, yet if we are going to get better as Track athletes we must compete against good people.

I was very proud of our young ladies for the way they conducted themselves and were ready for their events, despite the cold damp weather. Our next meet is tentatively scheduled for a twilight meet at the University of North Texas on Thursday April 22nd.
