The Weatherford College Rodeo

March 13 — Weatherford, TX. The NMJC Rodeo Team competed at the Weatherford College Rodeo, March 11-13. Freshman Sterling Morris from Andrews, Tx., was 9.9 sec. in the long round of calf roping splitting 3rd/4th. Sterling broke the barrier in the short round.

Sophomore Cigi Allen was 3.9 sec. on her breakaway calf, but 3.8 sec. made it back to the short round. Other NMJC cowboys and cowgirls performed well, but missed making the top 10 for the short round.

The second Spring rodeo for NMJC and the Southwest Region will be March 25-27, 2004 in Odessa, TX, Ector County Covered Arena – The Odessa College Rodeo.
