April 15-17 — Big Spring, TX. It was a good weekend for the NMJC rodeo team as Justin Cross and Sterling Morris roped a 7.7 sec. time in the first round and finished (5th) in team roping. Then they roped a 6.9 sec. time in the short-go, and placed second in the overall average.

In goat tying, Tauna Higgins having a 10 sec. run in the first round, ran an 11.2 sec. time in the short-go. Higgins ended the day splitting 5/6. Cigi Allen also had a 10 sec. run in the first round and a 11.2 sec. time in the short-go. She also had a 5/6 split for the day.

In steer wrestling, Jason Duke had a 4.9 sec. run in the first go, and a 7 sec. run in the short-go. Duke ended up placing fifth overall.
