5/9/2012 4:57:25 PM - Hobbs, NM. For the first time, the Lea County Character Counts Association invited two athletes from NMJC to their annual awards banquet. Thunderbirds - Kya DeGarmo (Women’s Basketball) and Nic Gonzales (Baseball) were given awards for their qualities of character and sportsmanship.

6/17/2011 2:34:18 PM - Hobbs, NM. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Rawlings Gold Glove AwardŽ is the benchmark of excellence and performance on the diamond in Major League Baseball. However, in 2007 the award began to also symbolize the best of the best at the collegiate and high school levels.
For the fifth consecutive year, college and high school players flashing serious leather will be awarded Rawlings Gold Glove Awards as Rawlings celebrates its 54th year of the Rawlings Gold Glove AwardŽ.
In partnership with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), Rawlings presented the first-ever Rawlings Gold Glove Awards in 2007 to players in NCAA Divisions I, II, and III; NAIA; NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III; and High School.
Below are the 2011 Rawlings Gold Glove AwardŽ recipients for NJCAA Divisions I, II and III.

Fall 2009 Showcase Baseball Camp
10/13/2009 - Hobbs, NM. The Fall 2009 Showcase Baseball Camp is designed for the serious high school baseball player committed to moving on to the collegiate/professional level. The camp will be Sunday, November 15, starting at 10:00 a.m. and will be held at Ray Birmingham Thunderbird Field.
