Coach’s Comments: After sitting out last year with arm surgery, Matt is getting back in shape. Averitt went 7-1 with a 3.39 ERA in 2004. He struckout 80 in 73 innings and was drafted by the Nationals after touching 94 mph. The Nationals redrafted Matt again in 2005 in hopes that he reaches his potential again. His successful return is very important to NMJC.
