Coach’s Comments: From R.L.Turner High School in Dallas, Grant came to NMJC last year after a year at the Naval Academy’s prep school. Alexander turned in an MVP performance for NMJC. After being tabed as a pitcher-first baseman at the beginning of the season, Alexander found himself, playing third, first, pitching and ended the season behind the plate in the Regional playoffs. Alexander hit .409 with 11 homers and 55 rbi’s. After surviving an automobile accident last May, Grant’s 91-mph arm strength is beginning to return and hopes are that the arm strength behind the plate will send him to the professional ranks or a top Div. I.
