Dr.
Richard Lloyd was born in Niagara Falls, New York, and graduated from Lewiston-Porter senior High School in 1976. He received a Bachelor's degree from Ball State University, majoring in Physical Education and minoring in Athletic Training. He went on to receive his Master's in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University, where he held a graduate assistantship in Athletic Training. Mr. Lloyd received his Doctorate in Community College Leadership through New Mexico State University in 2004.
Richard received his National Athletic Trainers Association certification in March of 1982 and also maintained athletic training licenses in Texas and New Mexico. Past work experiences include ten years with Canyon Independent School District in Canyon, Texas, where he taught Health Education and carried out the duties of the Athletic Trainer. The 2004-2005 season will be his fourteenth at NMJC.
The Lloyd family includes his wife Diane, and their four children, Kaitlin, Nathan, and twins Brenna and Caroline.
