One of the major considerations in the decision to pursue a college education is financial resources. There are two goals associated with this decision: those of access and choice. Every student should have access to a post-secondary education and the ability to attend the institution of choice. Although the family itself has the utmost responsibility in providing financial resources to attend college, it is also understood that many families cannot meet the financial needs of the student. The main function of the Financial Aid Office is to assist the student as much as possible to meet those needs. Personnel in the Financial Aid Office at New Mexico Junior College will make every effort to help students secure the necessary resources to pursue their college education.
New Mexico Junior College participates in a variety of financial aid programs including Federal Title IV programs, state and institutional programs. Participation in the programs is contingent on the availability of funds.
