Alcohol and Substance Abuse Policies
This information is presented to students to inform them about health risks associated with alcohol and other drugs, prevention and treatment programs available, and applicable State laws and campus policies. For more information, contact the Vice President for Students.

Americans with Disabilities Act
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and other applicable law, NMJC takes appropriate action to ensure that its programs and services are readily accessible to qualified individuals with disabilities.
No qualified individual with a disability shall, on the basis of the disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefit of, or otherwise be subjected to discrimination related to any of the institution’s programs or activities. If a student wishes to discuss a possible accommodation or has concerns about NMJC’s compliance, he or she should contact the Special Needs Services Coordinator at 575.492.2576, the Counseling Office at 575.392.5081, or e-mail ksaucer@nmjc.edu.
Campus Security Report – Jeanne Clery Act
The Campus Safety Act, also known as the Jeanne Clery Act, requires colleges to report annual crime statistics, provide timely warnings of serious crimes when there may be a threat to others, and to keep a public log of campus incidents. The crime statistics reports can be found at CrimeStats

Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act
The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requires that any coeducational institution of higher education has an intercollegiate athletic program and participates in federal student aid programs prepare an annual report on athletic participation rates, staffing, and revenues and expenses, by men’s and women’s teams. Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA)
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. ยง 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. A summary of FERPA can be found in the Catalog (link) and from the US Department of Education FERPA site FERPA Summary.

In accordance with federal regulations, NMJC is required to notify you of basic information about student financial aid programs. The required information can be accessed at Financial Aid. You are entitled to receive a paper copy of the information on the Financial Aid & Scholarships site upon request. You may print the information directly from the site or request a copy from:

Information found in the Catalog and online includes: academic programs, faculty and instructional personnel, accreditation and institutional membership, cost of attendance, refund policies, registration policies, and policies governing student behavior.
Copies of the information may be printed from the web site or various handbooks (Catalog, Student Handbook, and Alcohol Prevention Handbook).
