Pre-Medical/Dental
As such, there is not a pre-med/pre-dental major or degree plan. You will need to choose a major in something like biology, chemistry, etc. You can major in anything as long as you take the minimal science classes like 1 year of biology, two years of chemistry, one year of physics and math (ideally through calculus). To get into a medical school minimally requires a bachelor’s degree, good scores on the medical college aptitude test, good grades (especially in science/math classes) and an interview. You can be admitted to a dental school without a bachelor’s degree if you have the required science classes minimal grade point average and good scores on the Dental Aptitude Test.
To see a recommended degree plan, you will need to go back and select a possible major (like biology) or click on the generic AS or AA degree plans. To see the admission requirements for medical school or dental school, you will need to come to the Counseling Office or look at the catalogs from medical or dental schools.
