Law Enforcement Academy Program Cost

Costs for this program are as outlined below. This fee covers full-time tuition, all texts, partial supplies and equipment (ammunition, firearms, traffic templates, graduation awards, etc.).

1. Tuition – NMJC District Resident $264.00
Tuition – NM Out-of-District Resident 468.00
Tuition – Out-of-State Resident 528.00
2. Matriculation Fee (First Time Student) 5.00
3. Activity Fee 10.00
4. Parking Fee 5.00
5. Institutional Resource Fee 5.00
6. Academy Handout Packet 25.00
7. Ammunition Firearms Supplies 200.00
8. IT Fee 30.00
9. Physical Fitness Course Fee 5.00

NOTE: This program is currently approved for Federal financial aid including Veterans benefits. Please contact the New Mexico Junior College Financial Aid Office @ 575.392.5069 for further details.

For information related to the cost of housing and meal plans, please refer to forms at the end of Application Packet III (PDF Format).

Students will be individually responsible for payment of their medical and psychological examinations unless they are sponsored by a law enforcement agency.

Additionally, students will be individually responsible for uniforms, gym gear, footwear, pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. You will be provided with a comprehensive list of required equipment upon final acceptance into the academy.
