Corrections Academy Application Process

The following steps must be followed in order to apply for admission to the Southeastern New Mexico Correctional Training Academy:

• Email a request with your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. We will then send you a Corrections Training Academy Application Package.
• Return the completed applicant package with the required notarized forms to: New Mexico Junior College – SNMCTA, c/o Ms. Amy Coombes, 1 Thunderbird Circle, Hobbs, NM, 88240.
• Arrangements must then be made to complete the testing process which include medical, psychological, drug screen and several other tests that must be completed prior to your entry into the academy.
